Age Policy
Effective 1 September 2026
Minimum age: 16
You must be at least 16 years old to create or use a Squeeza account. We record an age bracket rather than collecting your full date of birth for ordinary registration.
Members aged 16–17
South African privacy law treats people under 18 as children for personal-information processing. If you are 16 or 17, a parent or legal guardian must consent before you join. You must confirm that consent during signup.
Age review
We may restrict an account while reviewing an underage report and request proportionate evidence of age or guardian consent. Evidence will be used only for the review, tightly restricted and deleted when no longer required.
Reporting and removal
If you reasonably believe a member is under 16, use the in-app report tool and select “Underage user.” Accounts belonging to people under 16 will be removed. Do not post a person’s suspected age or personal information publicly.
